Start in the middle of your upper lash line and work outwards with short, smooth strokes. Allow yourself to blink as you go, and don't strain your eyes. Thicken the lines where you wish, and for a smudge-look be sure to smudge in the first 5 secs, otherwise the liner will not budge.
